TRUTH BBQ started as a roadside outpost in Brenham Texas in July of 2015. Leonard Botello IV took a used Klose pit and a small building on Highway 290 and turned it into a bbq hotspot bringing in people from Austin, Houston, Brenham, and after a while, all over Texas. Over the years, TRUTH BBQ gained critical acclaim with its placement as #10 best BBQ restaurant in Texas on the Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ list.  Leonard has helmed the pits in Brenham daily, while his parents pitched in making homemade sides and the biggest cakes you’ve ever seen - growing that location until it was bursting at the seams.  After two patio expansions in Brenham, it was finally time to take on a new challenge. TRUTH BBQ Houston is the second location in the TRUTH BBQ family, and this time, we made a space big enough for everyone to enjoy.  TRUTH BBQ is known for our smoked meats and homemade sides and cakes, and we hope to see you at TRUTH soon!
