SLOWS BAR BQ opened on a mostly-abandoned block at the corner of Michigan and 14th in Detroit in September 2005 with a meticulously designed interior paired with a gourmet spin on barbecue cooked fresh every day, a love of craft beer and a dedication to community. Over the next few years, SLOWS became a destination restaurant, featured on cable TV shows & in numerous national & local publications.

Slows Corktown reopened Thursday 9/17. We’ll be open Thu - Sun 12pm-9pm. We’ll add more days and hours as demand dictates. We take safety seriously. We’re doing daily staff temperature checks, masking and practicing social distancing. We’ve deep-cleaned our HVAC and added UV filters for added protection. We’ve reduced our seating capacity in compliance with state regulations.
